Dr. Teri Murphy is an ICEEFT-certified Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) trainer, supervisor and therapist and former assistant professor at Trevecca Nazarene University where she taught graduate counseling. Her PhD is in Clinical Counseling, Education, and Supervision. Teri trains EFT for local centres and communities in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Montana, and Southern Nevada. Teri also trains Family Life Chaplains with the United States Army and supports the Army Strong Bonds program. Teri is the Director for EFT Tennessee, the ICEEFT Center in Tennessee, founded by her long-time mentor and retired Trainer, Kenny Sanderfer. Teri is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been in private practice in the Nashville area for over 10 years, where she sees individuals, couples, and families, as well as consults with therapists interested in becoming certified in EFT. Prior to her therapy training, Teri was an engineer in Space and Missile Systems with the United States Air Force. Presently, Teri writes and speaks on relationships, self-care, self-of-the-therapist, embodiment, and spiritual integration.
